Carmen Stavrositu, Ph.D.
Highlights
Dr. Carmen Stavrositu joined the Communication Department in Fall 2007, where she currently serves as Associate Professor. She teaches courses in media effects, emerging communication technologies, and statistical data analysis. Her research pertains to the social and psychological effects of traditional and new media. Her work has appeared in Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication, Health Communication, Mass Communication and Society, and Computers in Human Behavior, among others, and has been funded by the National Science Foundation. Dr. Stavrositu has also served as Head of the Communication Technology division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) and regularly reviews for several journals in the field.
