Alison received her BA in English Literature from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2003. She has worked professionally in the fields of radio, fundraising, event planning, and leadership development. She received her MA in Communication from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs in 2021. She has been teaching at UCCS since 2019,  first as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and currently as an Adjunct Lecturer. Alison teaches COMM 2100 Public Speaking as well as other professional communication courses. Alison has also taught in the Bachelor of Innovation program at UCCS. Her area of research interest is in creativity and communication.
