Highlights

Dr. Erica L. Nagel Allgood is the former Director of the Communication Center at UCCS. She began her teaching career as a teaching assistant at Kent State University in 1992. She also worked as an Assistant Professor of Communication and Lead Faculty at Regis University for over 19 years. Her areas of interest in teaching, training, and research include public speaking, leadership, conflict management, training and development, organizational communication, and authentic leadership. She owns and operates a communication training and consulting business for over two decades.

Since 1997, she has been member and presenter at several national associations, including the National Communication Association, International Leadership Association, and the American Society for Training and Development (now ATD). She has held several volunteer Board of Director’s positions for the American Society for Training and Development, Pikes Peak Chapter, including the VP of Marketing and President (1998 and 1999). She is the co-author of a team training text, titled The Team Trainer: Winning Tools and Tactics for Successful Workouts, published by McGraw-Hill/ASTD. Her doctoral dissertation research focused on authentic leadership and strategy execution.
